Here's what fresher hiring looks like in India today. A company posts a job opening. Within hours, they're buried under hundreds — sometimes thousands — of applications. Most resumes look identical. Same degree. Same academic projects. Same skill keywords. Same template. The hiring manager spends weeks screening, interviewing, and still ends up guessing. Half the candidates don't even show up.
On the other side, there's a fresher who taught themselves to code, built real projects, completed a bootcamp, and got endorsed by their manager at an internship. But they're invisible. Lost in the same pile as everyone else. Because no platform can tell the difference between someone who claims a skill and someone who's actually proven it.
A top student from a top university can be completely skill-less and still get shortlisted.
Meanwhile, a 100x programmer from a tier-4 college never gets a chance.
That's the gap we're here to close. Not with another job board. Not with another resume database. With verification that actually means something — endorsements from real people, assessments that test real skills, and evidence that's been validated, not just uploaded.

Where this started
Good Freshers wasn't born from a business plan.
It was born from a personal problem neither of us could ignore.


How we found each other:
We met at an entrepreneurship event and connected instantly. Tharun's curiosity and courage to experiment. Akshay's ground-level understanding of how hiring actually works. Both of us were self-taught — no fancy degrees, just skills and the hunger to build something meaningful.
We looked at the hiring landscape and it was obvious: the system was broken. Education was still treated as a qualification, but we could see that era was ending. Companies were openly saying "degree doesn't matter" — but there was still no structured way to prove skills.
Before writing a single line of code, we spoke to our target users. Recruiters confirmed they were wasting weeks on screening. Freshers confirmed they felt invisible. Existing platforms like Naukri, LinkedIn, and Internshala? Just repositories of information. Whatever candidates filled out — degree, job history, skills — that's what showed up. No validation. No intelligence. No trust.
So we built Good Freshers. Not because we wanted to start a company — but because we were tired of watching good people get lost in a broken system. We built it for ourselves first. Then we found out the world needed it too.
We started this company because we believe this problem is worth solving properly. And we've built a team that believes it too.

Skills matter more than pedigree.
Where you learned doesn't define what you can do. A self-taught developer from a tier-3 college can outcode someone from an IIT. We verify the skill, not the stamp on the degree.
Verification should be earned, not claimed.
Anyone can write "proficient in Python" on a resume. Proof should come from people who've seen you work, tests that measure real ability, and evidence that's been validated — not just uploaded.
Both sides deserve better.
Recruiters aren't villains for wanting quality. Freshers aren't lazy for wanting opportunities. The system fails both. We built Good Freshers to fix the system, not blame the people in it.
Trust is infrastructure, not a feature.
We're not adding a "verified" badge to a job board. We're building the trust layer that fresher hiring has never had. Endorsements, assessments, evidence — multiple signals, one verified profile.
Small and intentional beats big and broken.
We'd rather verify 1,000 profiles properly than list 100,000 unverified ones. Quality isn't a phase — it's the whole point.
Transparency isn't optional.
If we can't verify something, we say so. If a profile is incomplete, we show it. We don't pretend, and we don't pad numbers.
